A dynamic company with 50 years of experience in Food Safety and Quality, and an extensive global footprint of more than 100 accredited laboratories in 21 countries, is seeking a dedicated and hard-working HR Officer to join their team. As a market leader in its industry, this well-established company is committed to protecting consumers' health worldwide by delivering a wide range of testing and consulting services to the food & nutrition, agrochemicals, pharma, and cosmetics industries
Minimum Requirements:
HR related qualification
Minimum 3 - 5 years proven work experience as an HR Administrator or HR Officer
Exprienced in working in a laboratory environment (Highly beneficial)
Good understanding of HR functions and best practices
Sound understanding of regulation and compliance administration (BCEA, LRA & SDA)
Experienced in WSP, EE, BBBEE, payroll submissions
Written communication skills for correspondence, reports and HR content
Results-focused and deadline-oriented
Excellent organizational skills and be able to handle (organising events, teambuilding, year-end parties, community initiatives, year end hampers)
Attention to detail
Able to handle sensitive information confidentially
Above average Excel skills and a strong understanding and interest in data analysis will be advantageous
Leadership capabilities to support the region in the absence of a HR manager
Comfortable to interact with all levels of staff up the MD level
Culture building is important
Duties and Responsibilities:
Recruitment: Manage recruitment process by attracting top talent, processes will include assessing applications, interviewing applicants, give selection tests, prepare reports and make recommendations to management on staff appointments
Personnel Administration: Maintain and manage the personal records of employees on matters such as wages, leave and training, and prepare associated management reports
Training and Development: Assess organisational needs and individual training needs together with the Training and Development team, for planning and implementing skills development within the organisation
Organisational Development: Use management information systems to record, maintain, plan and manage the organisation's human resources
Provide HR advice and information: Management and employees on personnel policies and procedures, including equal opportunity, anti discrimination
Advise Management and Employees on work issues, career development and organise Employee Assistance Programmes
Performance Management: Guide management and staff on the optimal application of the performance management process and systems
Industrial Relations: Manage internal and external disciplinary and rehabilitation processes
