Durban: NEW BUSINESS SALES CONSULTANT
Minimum Requirements:
-Well presentable and professional South African Citizen
-Matric / Grade 12
-Relevant Tertiary Qualification advantageous
-Minimum 5 years recent proven sales experience a must, specifically in obtaining new business a must (Free from any trade restraint)
-Experience in logistics / courier industry preferred / advantageous
-Able to reach sales targets of R 50 000 per month
-Excellent communication & client relations skills
-Professional Presentation Skills
-Attention to detail & follow up skills
-Deadline- and results driven, with strong administrative skills
-Ability to operate independently, with good planning and organising skills
-Computer literate in MS Office (Advanced level)
-Clear criminal record
-Own reliable vehicle a must
-Stable employment record and contactable references
-No lawful termination at any previous employer for misconduct / non performance
-Residing within daily commuting distance from Durban
-To start as soon as possible
Duties:
-Full new business sales function for Courier company
-Ensure that new business is brought on board in line with individual sales targets and sales strategy
-Manage the pipeline of opportunities from current and prospective customers to ensure that sales goals/strategies are met
-Qualification of opportunities within the pipeline, proper prioritization of activities, and management of time and commitments to ensure priority opportunities move through the sales cycle.
-Make use of the sales and prospecting tools provided e.g. Saleboat etc.
-Effectively close sales prospects, including design and preparation of proposals, performing or coordinating presentations.
-Complete all sales paperwork promptly, thoroughly and accurately, including all new account documentation and sales reports.
-Prospect, build and manage pipeline aligned to sales strategy.
-Build relationships at all levels to effectively serve the customer
-Frequently engage / communicate with account dept within customer structures
-Ensure Standard Operating Procedures are documented
-Ensure all new accounts are implemented timeously and effectively.
-Achieve targets
-Continually align sales efforts that are in line with Company Sales Strategies.
Salary: R 25 000.00 gross (Cost to Company) + 8% commission of turn over and fuel card (150 litres per month)
