Our client, a manufacturing concern, is seeking an experienced Plant Engineer for its plant in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town to co-ordinate the maintenance teams..

The Opportunity
The Plant Engineer will direct the design, development and construction of plant facilities and equipment and improve existing equipment to meet the company’s long-range growth objectives and provide optimum return on investment.

Job Requirements
Mechanical Engineering Diploma / Degree
Minimum 2 – 5 years experience as a Plant Engineer
Be able to produce Matric and Tertiary qualification results
Reliable transport

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs on all production machines.
Leading a team of 12 maintenance and tooling artisans.
Configure of technical drawings according to ISO9001
In charge of a small workshop.
In house projects.
Responsible for running the maintenance program (PRAGMA).
Filing of manuals, machine drawings etc.
Liaison with subcontractors
Part of the managing team.

Salary: Negotiable.
